Apply For Kiisi Trust Foundation 2021 Ogoni Scholarship Scheme

Applications are invited from interested persons for the third phase of the Kiisi Trust Foundation Ogoni Scholarship.

The Kiisi Trust was established in 2009 as part of a United States Federal Court Settlement. The settlement arose out of a lawsuit against the Royal Dutch Shell Company by survivors and family members of the people who were victims of human rights abuses arising out of Shell’s Nigerian Operations in Ogoniland in Rivers state, Nigeria.

The Kiisi Trust Fund is managed as a donor advised fund (DAF) by TrustAfrica on behalf of the Kiisi Trust Fund trustees in Nigeria. The Trust Fund is dedicated to the benefit of the Ogoni people in Nigeria and will focus on initiatives for education, health, community development, educational endowments, skills development, agricultural development, women’s programmes, small enterprise support, and adult literacy.

The 2021 edition of the Kiisi Trust Foundation Ogoni Scholarship Scheme will begin on 1^st July, 2021.

Conditions For Applying:

1. You must be an Ogoni indigene

2. You must be studying in any tertiary institution in Nigeria

3. You must be a full time second year student (200 level) student

4. You must be in your final year currently working on your final year project (B.Sc, HND, NCE)

5. You must have a minimum CGPA of 2.5 or above

Kindly note that this phase of the Ogoni Scholarship Scheme is tenable for the 2021-2022 academic year. Also, final year students applying for the scholarship must be those whose final year project defense will take place on or before May 2022.

Successful candidates will be notified by September 2021.
